Coill an Chúir (Red Kite Hazel Wood) is a large native planted garden. The primary focus is on ecosystem restoration. It consists of early mixed species indigenous woodland, ponds, an orchard, and meadow. Rare native plants are continually

being added from local seed. Free living honey bee colonies are present. Areas are steep in parts so caution is advised.

Directions / Treoracha:

From the clock in Westport, ascend High Street and turn left at the Greenway bridge junction. Continue straight up past the large antennae. It is the 7th house on the left. There is a low dry stone wall and trees at the destination
